1. The Freedom Trail: A walk along the two-and-a-half-mile Freedom Trail is perhaps the best way to get acquainted with the city of Boston and the bounty of historic landmarks throughout. We recommend starting here. If you’re in a hurry, you can cover the entire trail in as little as an hour, but you won’t really be able to explore many of the sites. You should really set aside at least 2-3 hours to walk the trail and see all of its Revolutionary landmarks.

2. The Boston Public Garden: Located along Charles Street across from the Boston Common, this is the nation’s oldest botanical garden. The famous Swan Boats, which have graced the garden each spring since 1877, are a beautiful way to explore the garden. They are operated from mid-April through mid-September; when the winter comes, the pond is open to skaters.

3. Fenway Park: There is nothing better than the smell of Fenway Franks on a sunshine-filled summer afternoon. This historic home of Major League Baseball’s Boston Red Sox, fans have clamored at the opportunity to attend a game in this stadium for decades. If you can’t score tickets to a game, be sure to look into the “behind the scenes” tours of Fenway Park. South End Condos.

4. Sam Adams Brewery: Tour the Sam Adams Brewery in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston for a glimpse into the microbrewery’s beer-making process and sample the finished product. This location is also home to the Boston Beer Museum and is a great way to learn more about the area’s beer production.

5. Cheers Boston: Formerly the Bull & Finch Pub, this famous inspiration for the television show Cheers is located in Boston’s Beacon Hill District. Be patient, this is definitely a tourist trap, but it’s still one of the most asked about stops in the city.

6. Boston Museum of Fine Arts: The MFA is New England’s largest art museum and its known for its collection of works by Claude Monet - the largest collection of paintings by the artist outside of France. It is also home to a wealth of spectacular changing exhibitions that never fail to attract attention from visitors and locals alike.

7. The South End: Once considered dangerous and remote, today the South End is home to some of the area’s finest restaurants, design stores and boutiques, as well as rows and rows of red-brick townhomes and South End condos positioned beautifully along tree-lined streets. Be sure to visit restaurants such as B&G Oysters or the Flour Bakery.

8. The Boston Public Library: Visit a library on vacation? Trust us - you won’t be disappointed. Located on one side of Copley Square along with the renowned Trinity Church, the library is home to incredible architecture, gorgeous murals and seemingly endless arched pathways. Don’t miss the Italian Renaissance-inspired interior courtyard complete with bubbling fountains.
